THe Big GOODBYE For Dashford Pierce and Jacque McKeownThis is the end of the Jacques McKeown trilogy series (following Will Save the Galaxy For Food and Will Destroy The Galaxy For Cash), and as ever, a very interesting sci-fi adventure wrapped in humour. I've enjoyed each book he's spawned from this character (a reluctant pilot named Dashford Pierce, mistakenly known as McKeown) with all the twist and turns the story continually takes us in. This book... however... was somewhat of a mixed bag of feelings. I'm sad to see him conclude the series, having enjoyed it so much, but this was the most disappointed I ever felt in a final story. Don't get me wrong, I really did enjoy reading (or listening to it, seeing how it was on Audible), I just felt it was lacking a stable ending at the ver conclusion. I won't spoil annoying about that, I"ll let others get a chance to read (hear) his story and judge for themselves. For me, though, personally, I felt let down. This could have had a better "final arc" for the character, instead, we got melee of constant "where are we going with this?" moments. There were also some previous story inconsistencies, some plot points that didn't link up, and some characters that never got properly closures themselves. But, seeing how this was through the eyes of Dashford, perhaps that's my own nit-pick about this last book. I gave high marks to his previous works... but sadly, I can't for this one. This felt more like a "I'm done, and I don't want to write these anymore" kind of vibe. The humour wasn't as good, or lacked some better comedic bits, as it were, showing his lack of enthusiasm of making this book better than the last. I think he was pretty well finished with this character and just wanted to end this series once and for all. Yahztee Croshaw is mainly into video game design, as well as writing books, but I think his concentration is focused more on the game side than the authoring one. That's not to say these books aren't well written, they are, I'm just saying his thoughts might be more occupied to that side of late. In any case, he's created a fine trilogy, this book being the lesser of the two is just my lowly opinion. I gave it a 4.25 out of 5, which means I still loved reading it, but I just couldn't give it a full star for such a less-than impactful finale. There might be a slim probable chance he may make more in the far future (should he really want), seeing how it's left slightly open for such a thing... but I doubt it. Don't get me wrong Croshaw, I do love this book, I just wish you'd would have given the ending a more humorous send off and given Dashford Pierce a more fitting scenario to end on. Other fans might disagree with me, but, like I said, that's just my opinion. Check out his audible book here: https://www.audible.com/pd/Will-Leave-the-Galaxy-for-Good-Audiobook/B0CY5YWK21

NEW COVER DESGIN, RELEASE DATE, AND UPDATES!Hey everyone!
Well, it seems that I'm splitting this book into two parts. The Mysterious World of Professor Darkk and Miss Shadow Book One is just way too large a story to keep prolonging. I need to release it as an ebook in two parts, and then the whole paperback as a complete book. Why am I doing this? Cause it is taking a long time to get this out there for all of you. This way I can give you something rather than nothing. Four years later and I'm still hashing out this book for Pete's sake! The Audiobooks have done far better than I could have imagined. With new readers (and listeners) enjoying the mysterious duo's adventures. Thank you so much to those that joined in, by the way, and I hope you will read the next book as it launches in 2024. I"m trying to be a realist here. 2024 is my goal for this first part to be released. It will only be in ebook form, seeing how I don't have the money or the resources to crank out an audio. Much as I would love to do that, it's just not going to happen. Buying my books might make it so (as Captain Picard might say), and donating might also be a way to get that book on audible as well. But, I won't pressure you on that. Hopefully, I can eventually get back on the audiobook bandwagon and start converting them into those once more. Till then, I've only got the ebooks and paperback editions for you to grab. In any case, I'm also revamping the cover for the book as well. Four years is a long time to pass, and the book cover I made back then, isn't as good as I thought it was then. So... make over time. I hope to have a teaser of it on here soon. Maybe when the book is ready for preorders.... or just before then... in December, perhaps? Here's the teaser banner for it... just a hint of what's to come. Talk to you soon, for now, I've got some editing and cover work on my plate... and I best finish it up. Ta-ta for now! The Mysterious World Of Professor Darkk Book 1, Send In The Dead, Triton: Space Station 339–And More! That's right folks, I've started more stories and adding them on to my Substack newsletter site one chapter at time. You can get in early and read my latest works hot off the computer press (as it were)! Send In The Dead is my Sci Fi Horror book, full of low life criminal scum sent in by the military to deal with The Alien Horde on planet Sigma 8. This is a war that will be gruesome, bloody soaked, and with the worst of humans that were sentenced to death. What better place to put them then in a war battling aliens far from Earth!
Then I've got Tiiton: Space Station 339. Mike Douglas, A low ranking beat cop, and his female partner, Raven, get thrusted into a very deep problem, a spaceship crashes into the station and they are forced to investigate. All Mike wants to do is live his life and not be given any promotion at all. But what will they discover as they start their new positions? The case starts to twist and Mike suddenly thrusted into something he never wanted in the first place, a full on detective. And for those of you who've read and loved The Mysterious World of Professor Darkk and Miss Shadow, I've decided to launch the book officially on Substack exclusively. I was going to release the chapters one month at a time, but now, I might just do it bi-weekly until the book is completed. Book 1 will be their full official novel and deals with the pair teaming up with John Mathers, an FBI agent from the department of Special Cases. The Burning Fire Rises is a novel that will set the tone for the rest of the series to come. Be sure to drop on in over to my Substack site and subscribe to get all this good stuff! Go to Jeff Walker Books Substack Page! Here's the book covers for each story.... Only a few days left to get the preorder offer!I'm very excited to have my latest book out in a short few days. This science fiction thriller about an air harvesting crew land on a jungle world, rich in plant life and abundant O2, only to discover they're not alone in this strange environment. I haven't had a new book launch since 2021, if you can believe it. So this stand alone has been yet another feather in my cap (as it were). I promise those that have been asking that I will return to writing the other books I've announced prior. I'm also in the process of working on the next two books for The Adventures of Deep Contact. So, stay tuned for more info on that later.
For now... go grab a copy of The Jungle Planet on April 30th (or get the ebook for 0.99¢ before April 29th on amazon) and prepare to enter a deadly and dangerous sci fi story beyond imagination! Come visit my YouTube channel to hear about what's in store for this year and my coming book titles!
